Tuesday Musings

Well, I just realized that it's been 3 weeks since I last posted. I'm pretty pathetic when it comes to keeping up with this blogging thing. I knew that would happen eventually, but I didn't think it would take less than a month to lose it's novelty for me. That's a pretty quick one this time around.

I've got about 2 weeks to go until my due date and I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of our new baby (girl). We've still got no idea for sure what we're naming her yet. We've got two names in mind right now, but I'm not saying them to ANYONE because I know that I'll just change my mind as soon as I tell people what I'm thinking... It's happened several times so far already, so I think I'll just wait and see what she ends up looking like before we decide on the name for sure, and before we tell anyone!

I was having Braxton-Hicks contractions last night... That's "False Labour" for those of you who don't know about this kind of thing. About 11:00 last night I started feeling my abdomen tensing with mild contractions. They were about 10 minutes apart and weren't very painful, but I felt it enough that I definitely knew it was happening. I had about 4 of them at around 10 minutes apart each and then the 5th was only 5 minutes after the last one... That one kind of freaked me out because if it was going from 10 minutes to 5 minutes that fast I might not have a whole lot of time to get ready and get to Fredericton... But I decided to wait a few more minutes before I really freaked out and woke Jason up. The next contraction was over 15 minutes later and I was pretty sure then that it was only Braxton-Hicks contractions...

False Labour/ Braxton-Hicks often doesn't follow the natural progression of labour and can get closer together for a while, then further apart, while real labour won't go from 5 minutes to 15 minutes and then back again. The times only get closer together with real labour... So I waited a bit longer and it was over 30 minutes before the next one... so with that I went to bed, but I was woken up 3 or 4 times last night with more Braxton-Hicks. So this morning I'm pretty tired.

Since I haven't posted anything in a while I decided to throw in a few pictures. Here's one of Olivia on Easter Sunday in her new Easter Dress that her Nannie Darrah bought her. Isn't she adorable!

The second picture is of the Easter eggs we coloured the other day. I bought a dye kit and we made them. Note to self: A two year old isn't the best partner when using chemical dyes!!! *lol*

Finally, here is a picture of Olivia on Easter morning throwing a fit after being told that she couldn't eat any more chocolate until after she ate breakfast!

lol, Mom's got a picture of me somewhere, and I'm making the EXACT same face... I wasn't crying for chocolate though, I was scared $h*tless of Santa Clause and mom had me sitting on his knee... I think I was probably around the same age as she is, maybe a little younger...

I love that dress. I almost bought it for my granddaughter but it came in size 12 mo/18 mo/ 24 mo. That was one dress, not three. What's that all about?

I dunno... When Donna and I were looking at it at the Superstore, we noticed that the tag said size 2-3x, but the hangers had different sizes on them. One said size 2 and one said 3x.

I was thinking that they were the same size though since the tag listed both sizes on it, but when we held them up to each other there was actually about an inch difference in the length between one and the other...

So, even though the tags said the same size, they weren't
